I managed to find still from *I think* episode 3 from this season. I’m not 100% sure that these are from episode 3.

September 14, 2008 - “Trying to quit smoking is the hardest thing I’ve ever done.”

By: Crissy with No Comments Filed Under: News & Articles

I found this great article that Maura wrote about her smoking habit. You should deff. read it!

I grew up in a haze of smoke. No one in my family concerned themselves too much with nicotine addiction and its attendant diseases. My father lit up at the dinner table and puffed away in the car with the windows rolled up. (The car, incidentally, was a Plymouth Duster without seat belts or a working lock on the passenger-side door. It wasn’t unusual for that door to fly open when we made a left turn; on two such occasions, my sister and I were catapulted out. The phrases “child safety” and “secondhand smoke” didn’t get much play in my house.) But this blithe attitude wasn’t particular to my family. My high school, an all-girl’s Catholic school in a suburb south of Boston, had its very own smoking lounge. A note from your parents—authentic or forged—was all you needed for permission to smoke the day away. Hey, it was the early eighties.

Playwrights Horizons has announced that its world premiere production of Nicky Silver’s Three Changes will extend until October 3, and that Tim Hopper will take over the role of Nate from star Dylan McDermott on September 30. McDermott has a prior commitment.

The show, which co-stars Scott Cohen, Aya Cash, Brian J. Smith, and Maura Tierney and is directed by Wilson Milam, is about an Upper West Side couple whose comfortable marriage is disrupted when the husband’s wayward brother arrives from Hollywood. Silver’s many other plays include Raised in Captivity, Pterodactyls, The Food Chain.

The creative team includes Neil Patel (sets), Theresa Squire (costumes), Ben Stanton (lighting), and Bart Fasbender (sound). Milam received a Tony Award nomination for The Lieutenant of Inishmore.

September 7, 2008 - ‘ER’ Screen Caps

By: Crissy with No Comments Filed Under: ER, Screen Captures

I added 3 ER episodes from season 7 to the gallery.

7×03- Mars Attacks
7×04- Benton Backwards
7×05- Flight of Fancy

Maura was on The View a few days ago. I had set the timer on my DVD recorder because I had school all day and it turns out, I set the timer to record on a different channel. I’m really sorry about that. It was the first time I ever set the timer on it, so I wasn’t really sure how it worked. At least I know for next time, lol. Also, I just moved and don’t have internet access at home right now. I can only update this site at school. I’m hoping to get internet sometime next week. When I do get internet at home, I have a lot of things planned for this site, like getting the video archive and art archive fully up and running. Hopefully all that will be done by next weekend.

August 25, 2008 - Playbill Chats With Maura

By: Crissy with 1 Comment » Filed Under: News & Articles
This month we speak to Maura Tierney (Three Changes, “ER”), Andrew Fleming (”Hamlet 2″), and two actors in Fleming’s film: Skylar Astin and Phoebe Strole.

*

Previews of Nicky Silver’s Three Changes began Aug. 22 at Playwrights Horizons. Prior to Wednesday’s tech rehearsal, Maura Tierney takes time to discuss the play, as well as her Emmy-nominated role as Abby Lockhart on TV’s “ER.” (She’s already taped her last two episodes, which will be seen early in the series’ upcoming 15th, and final, season.)

Telling her that the show’s publicist kindly sent me a copy of the five-character dark comedy, Tierney says with a laugh, “Great. Maybe you could tell me what it’s about.” She describes her New Yorker character, Laurel, as “a professional woman, who’s married and has a lovely apartment on the Upper West Side.

“On the surface, she’s an ideal wife, but as the play unfolds, you realize how hard she’s working — and how hard all the characters are struggling — to maintain the appearance of normal, happy, successful, all these ideas of what the world is supposed to be, and what we’re supposed to achieve.”
